Store Assistants

WooCommerce AI Sales Assistant

Undecided WooCommerce visitors get steered to a product that fits, in the moment, instead of closing the tab.

Undecided visitors often leave your WooCommerce store simply because nobody helped them choose. This assistant steps in while they browse, checking live stock, variants and past orders before it suggests anything, instead of pushing the same best-seller block to everyone. It answers product questions, recommends items that genuinely fit and helps shoppers reach checkout with confidence.

  • Undecided visitors steered to products that fit

What it is

WooCommerce AI Sales Assistant works the browsing stage of a visit, checking live stock, variants and past orders through the WooCommerce REST API before it suggests anything, instead of pushing a fixed best-seller block. It sits on your storefront around the clock. Shoppers never get pointed at out-of-stock items.

Why businesses buy it

You already paid to bring each visitor to your store, through ads, content or search. When they leave undecided, that spend is wasted. A helpful assistant turns more of those visits into orders by answering questions and suggesting the right product at the right moment. This one works around the clock and only recommends what is in stock. The written scope sets out what it recommends, the policies it follows and how it hands off.

Problems this solves

A fixed best-seller block shows the same items to everyone

WooCommerce AI Sales Assistant works the browsing stage of each visit. It checks live stock, variants and past orders through the WooCommerce REST API before suggesting anything.

Shoppers click a recommendation only to find it sold out

Live stock and variants are checked first, so shoppers never get pointed at out-of-stock items. Each suggestion matches the size, color or option that a shopper can actually buy today.

Shoppers leave with sizing or fit questions nobody answers

The assistant sits on your storefront around the clock and draws on up to 100 of your documents, such as size guides. Shoppers can get help without waiting for an email reply.

A good fit if

Visitors keep opening several similar product pages, hesitate over size, color or a bundle option, and leave without picking one.
You want suggestions checked against real WooCommerce stock and order history, not a fixed 'top sellers' block that ignores what is actually available.
Your product catalog and store policies are ready to hand over, so the assistant has real information to work from on day one.
You want a weekly readout of which conversations actually turned into a finished WooCommerce order, not just which ones happened.

Not the right fit if

Most of what shoppers ask you happens after they have already bought, not before. WooCommerce AI Support Agent is built for those post-purchase questions.
Your storefront runs on Shopify, not WooCommerce. Shopify AI Sales Assistant is built around the Shopify Admin API instead of the WooCommerce REST API.
You are thinking about recommendations shoppers see later, in an email, not during the visit itself. AI Recommendation Engine is built for that behavior-driven, cross-channel case.
You need this running across more than two connected systems or six workflows, for example separate logic per product line. Mention it at checkout for a quote, or start from the Custom AI enquiry form.

How it works

  1. A visitor opens chat from a product page, and the assistant pulls their WooCommerce order history, if any, through the WooCommerce REST API before it says anything.
  2. It asks a couple of quick questions, the kind a good in-store assistant would ask, to narrow down size, use case or budget.
  3. Suggestions are checked against live WooCommerce stock, so an answer never points someone toward something that is actually sold out or discontinued.
  4. The two or three closest matches get surfaced, each with a plain-language reason attached, not a generic 'customers also viewed' list.
  5. A question outside product fit, like a return already underway or a shipping complaint, goes straight to whoever you set as the approver.
  6. Every week, a report shows which suggested products actually became a WooCommerce order, and which conversations stalled before checkout.

What you provide within 72 hours

Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.

  • WP Admin login details or a WooCommerce REST API key scoped for catalog and order data.
  • Your product catalog, including variants, bundles, and anything you specifically want pushed or held back.
  • Your shipping, returns and refund policies, so basic questions do not stall the sales conversation.
  • The name of whoever signs off on a pricing exception or a bundle offer, if you want the assistant to make those.
  • Every credential for a connected system, shared by adding our team as a user or creating a key you control directly, never sent over email.
  • Your business information (company basics, hours and brand voice), shared during intake filled in, or already on file if you have ordered from us before.
  • One point of contact who can make a final call during setup.
  • An API key for your own AI model account (for example OpenAI or Google Gemini), created for this build with a spending limit.
The 72-hour rule. Send everything on your checklist, including access, within 72 hours of ordering so your build starts on time.

Expected benefits and how to measure them

  • Can help more browsers find something worth buying.
  • Helps avoid the disappointment of recommending items that are not available.
Conversion rate
Compare WooCommerce or Google Analytics conversion for the four weeks before launch with the four weeks after.
Average order value
Use WooCommerce reports to compare average order value across the same periods.
Pre-sale questions by email
Count product and sizing questions in your inbox before and after launch.

Before you start: Record conversion rate, average order value and weekly pre-sale questions. Note which products shoppers ask about most.

These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.

Running costs

The build fee is the only one-time cost. After that, what you pay depends on usage, mostly the AI model itself and a small amount of hosting, which typically lands between $50 and $250 a month, on top of whatever CRM or marketing platform subscription you already run.

Testing and build-phase AI usage is charged the same way, through your own accounts. Your WordPress hosting and your AI provider stay in your own name throughout.

Custom requirements

Want it wired into a loyalty plugin or a third connected system beyond the Scope Card? Tell us at checkout. We come back with a written Change Quote inside two working days before touching that work. Larger or bespoke projects go through the Custom AI request form instead.

Request a custom version

Keep it running

We recommend monthly maintenance, which covers monitoring, bug fixes and monthly change hours, enough for a new bundle or a seasonal catalog refresh. The hours scale with the build, and bigger changes go through a Change Quote. None of it kicks in until the 30 days of included support finish, and you can walk away at the end of any month.

$249/mo (the minimum fee, includes 2 change hours)

Optional. Starts after the post-launch support period. Cancel any month.

Questions about this product

How much does the WooCommerce sales build cost up front?

Each delivery speed has one fixed price. The price panel shows standard, express and rush side by side before you pay, and the cart confirms your delivery date. Nothing else is billed by us until you choose to add monthly maintenance sometime after launch. Running costs of roughly $50 to $250 a month are separate and paid to your own providers.

What will I actually pay each month to keep the WooCommerce assistant running?

Expect somewhere between $50 and $250 a month, mostly AI model usage plus a small hosting cost, paid directly to those providers. Your existing CRM or marketing platform subscription continues separately. We do not add a markup or a separate platform fee on top of what you already pay.

Can it end up suggesting something that's sold out?

No. Every suggestion is checked against live WooCommerce stock through the REST API before it reaches the shopper, so a sold-out variant gets skipped in favor of something actually available. If nothing close is in stock, it says that plainly instead of pushing the wrong item.

Does the sales assistant need WordPress login access too?

We need either WP Admin credentials or a REST API key scoped to catalog and order data, shared by adding our team as a user or creating a key you control during setup, never by email. Access stays limited to what the assistant actually uses to make suggestions.

Can it hand out a discount to close a sale?

Only if you set that up. It can surface an approved bundle or offer you configured in advance, but any pricing exception outside those rules goes to the approver you named during intake, rather than being decided on the spot.

Does the WooCommerce sales assistant cost anything once the free 30 days end?

From us, only if you choose maintenance. It covers monitoring, fixes, updates, a monthly health report and a monthly allowance of change hours. It is not required, bills monthly, and you can stop at the end of any month. Separately, AI usage and hosting are billed by your providers, in your own accounts, as the assistant runs.

Who actually owns the assistant's setup once it is live?

You do. Everything, the workflows, the product-matching logic, the connections, lives inside your own WordPress installation and your own accounts, not a system we control on your behalf. Stopping maintenance later does not switch anything off, delete any data or hand control back to us.
