AI Price Monitoring for Automotive

Rival dealers' prices on comparable vehicles and service offers tracked, so your forecourt and service menu stay in the market.

Car buyers compare your stock with every similar listing nearby before they visit. If a rival dealer drops the price on a comparable model, you want to know straight away, not after the buyer goes elsewhere. This Automotive edition tracks up to 25 rival vehicle listings and service offers, compares each with your own price, and leaves every pricing decision with your team.

  • Comparable vehicle prices tracked against your own stock
  • Rival fixed-price service offers watched alongside sales
  • One brief with separate sales and service sections

What it is

AI Price Monitoring for Automotive tracks the prices rival dealers and vehicle marketplaces show for up to 25 listings comparable to your stock, plus competitors' fixed-price service offers. Each change is compared with your own price from your dealer management system or CRM.

Why businesses buy it

In Automotive retail, prices move with stock, season and the dealer down the road. A car priced above comparable listings sits on the forecourt, and one priced below them gives away margin. Service menus face the same pressure from local workshops. Checking marketplaces by hand takes time that sales and service managers do not have. This edition matches each rival listing to your comparable vehicle or service and reports every move, so your prices stay in the market. The Scope Card fixes listings, systems and channel before you order.

Problems this solves

Used cars sit on the forecourt because rivals priced similar stock lower

The monitor tracks up to twenty-five rival dealer and marketplace listings comparable to your stock. Each price is compared with yours from your dealer management system or CRM.

Rival fixed-price service offers draw customers away from your workshop

Competitors' fixed-price service offers can sit on the tracked list alongside vehicles. Service managers see when a rival changes an offer and can review their own menu pricing.

Sales managers trawl marketplace listings by hand every morning

Checks run on your schedule, and the results arrive as a daily or weekly brief. Sales managers start the day with the comparison already made.

Price cuts on comparable vehicles slip by between manual checks

A change alert goes out when a tracked listing moves price. Each alert links to the live listing, so used-car managers can check mileage and spec themselves.

A good fit if

Buyers arrive quoting a cheaper comparable car from another dealer, and your sales team had not seen it.
Your used stock competes on vehicle marketplaces where rival prices move week to week.
Local garages and other dealers advertise fixed-price servicing, and you want to know when they change.
Your own vehicle and service prices are held in a dealer management system or CRM the build can read.

Not the right fit if

You want suggested price changes prepared for your review. See AI Pricing Intelligence Agent.
You want rival dealers' websites watched for offers and messaging as well as prices. See AI Competitor Website Monitor.
Leads who looked at a car need calling back. See AI Voice Follow-Up for Automotive.
You need hundreds of listings tracked across your whole stock. This build covers 25; add a note at checkout for a Change Quote.

How it works

  1. You choose up to 25 listings: comparable vehicles on rival dealer sites and marketplaces, and competitors' fixed-price service offer pages.
  2. Your DMS or CRM is connected as one of two systems, so each alert sets the rival price beside the price on your own comparable vehicle or service.
  3. Each listing is checked daily or weekly and the displayed price is logged into a running history.
  4. The Automotive workflow template shapes the brief for sales and service: comparable cars now cheaper than yours, rival reductions this week, and service offers that changed.
  5. When a tracked price moves, an alert gives the old price, new price, percentage change and a link to the listing.
  6. Brief and alerts go to one channel, email, Slack or Notion, after two trial report cycles reviewed with your sales and service managers.

What you provide within 72 hours

Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.

  • Up to 25 rival listings, each matched to a comparable vehicle or service of yours.
  • Read access to your DMS or CRM for your own vehicle and service prices.
  • What counts as comparable, such as model, age and mileage band, and which gaps matter.
  • Who receives the brief in sales and service, how often, and on which channel.
  • Admin access and API keys shared securely, never by email, and one decision-maker.
  • An API key for your own AI model account (for example OpenAI or Google Gemini), created for this build with a spending limit.
The 72-hour rule. Send everything on your checklist, including access, within 72 hours of ordering so your build starts on time.

  • Can help used-car managers price stock with current market information.
  • Makes it easier for service managers to keep fixed-price offers competitive.
  • Helps cut the morning time spent searching marketplaces.
Stock age for tracked vehicle types
Pull average days in stock from your dealer management system. Compare the quarter before launch with the quarter after.
Bookings for tracked service offers
Count monthly bookings for each offer in your workshop system. Compare before and after launch.
Manager time spent on price checks
Managers log daily checking time for two weeks before launch. They repeat it two weeks after.

Before you start: Export current stock age and prices for the vehicle types you will track. Record recent monthly bookings for each fixed-price service.

These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.

Running costs

The build is a single payment, at the price shown in the panel on this page. Running it costs roughly $20 to $120 a month for AI usage and web data or search APIs, billed in your own accounts. Daily checks on fast-moving used-car listings sit higher in that range.

Your DMS and marketplace subscriptions are unchanged, and AI usage during the build is billed to your accounts too.

Questions about this product

What should a dealership track with AI Price Monitoring for Automotive?

Dealers usually split the 25 listings between comparable vehicles on rival sites and marketplaces for their highest-volume models, and the fixed-price service offers of nearby competitors. Service pages change less often and stay valid for longer, while vehicle listings give the fastest signal on where the market is moving.

What happens when a tracked used car is sold and its listing disappears?

A listing that no longer shows a price cannot be checked, so it stops producing alerts. Replace it with a comparable car's listing; swapping listings within the 25 limit fits inside the monthly change hours of maintenance. Dealers with fast-moving stock often refresh part of the list each month.

Can it compare rival prices with our own stock automatically?

Yes, if your dealer management system or CRM is one of the two connected systems and holds your advertised prices. At intake each tracked listing is matched to the comparable vehicle or service of yours, and every alert shows both prices. Without that connection, the brief reports rival prices only.

Will it value trade-ins or set our prices?

No. It tracks prices shown publicly on the listings you choose and reports changes. It does not value vehicles, recommend prices or change anything in your DMS. If you want suggested pricing for review, see AI Pricing Intelligence Agent; changing prices automatically would need a Change Quote.

How much is the automotive price monitoring edition with express delivery?

Each delivery speed, including express, has its price shown in the panel on this page, and all of them deliver the same Automotive Scope Card. Choosing a faster speed changes the date, not what is built. Running costs of roughly $20 to $120 a month for AI usage and web data are billed to your own accounts.

Can sales and service get different briefs?

The build includes one recurring brief in one channel, written with separate sections for vehicles and for service offers, so both teams read the same document. Fully separate briefs or channels for each department come through a Change Quote, priced before any work starts.

See the rival price before the buyer quotes it to you.

Order AI Price Monitoring for Automotive and on a fixed delivery date rival vehicle listings and service offers are tracked against your own prices, with alerts when they change.
