AI receptionist for small business: calls, bookings and handoffs
What an AI receptionist does on a real call, the rules that apply, a sample greeting and a pass/fail checklist to launch one safely.
Approved template campaigns sent to your opted-in list, with replies handled and results reported back.
Sending a WhatsApp campaign is the easy part. The hard part is the flood of replies, questions and opt-out requests afterwards. This agent sends approved template campaigns to your opted-in list, answers common replies from your FAQs, hands real conversations to your team, and honors every opt-out automatically. You approve the wording, the list and who gets each campaign.

WhatsApp AI Campaign Agent is an AI agent that sends outbound broadcast campaigns to your opted-in WhatsApp list, using Meta-approved template messages, then handles the replies that come back and reports on delivery and engagement. Anyone who asks to stop is opted out automatically.
A campaign that gets replies nobody answers wastes the attention you worked to earn, and a missed opt-out can damage trust and your standing with Meta. Many teams avoid WhatsApp campaigns for exactly that reason. This agent handles both ends: sending approved templates to your list and dealing with what comes back. The scope is written before you buy, covering templates, flows, connected systems and reporting, so you know what will run and what stays under your control.
The agent handles replies to each broadcast as they arrive. It answers from your approved content and passes anything it cannot handle to your team.
Campaigns go only to your opted-in list, using Meta-approved template messages. Anyone who replies asking to stop is opted out automatically, so they are not messaged again.
The agent reports on delivery and engagement for each campaign. You can see what was delivered and replied to, rather than guessing from a busy inbox.
Broadcasts run from your WhatsApp Business number through the agreed workflow. Up to five approved templates are ready to reuse, so staff stop copying and pasting to contact lists.
Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.
| Option | Delivery time | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 20–30 working days | $2,500 |
| Express | 15–25 working days | $2,950 |
| Rush | 10–20 working days | $3,400 |
Before you start: Record your opted-in list size, recent campaign reply counts and how long replies take to answer. If you have no history, treat the first campaign as the starting point.
These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.
The build price is one-time. Running it is paid in your own accounts: WhatsApp conversation fees charged by Meta for each template message sent, plus roughly $30 to $150 a month for AI model usage and hosting.
AI usage during the build and testing is also billed to your accounts, so you keep ownership of every provider relationship, including your Meta Business account. Nothing runs through us.
Ask about running costsIf you need something outside the Scope Card, add a note at checkout. You get a written Change Quote, and that work only starts once you accept it. Larger or bespoke projects go through the Custom AI request form instead.
Request a custom versionWe recommend monthly maintenance, which covers monitoring, fixes and monthly change hours for things such as a new campaign template or an updated reply flow. Maintenance starts after the 30 days of included support and can be cancelled any month.
$249/mo (the minimum fee, includes 2 change hours)
Optional. Starts after the post-launch support period. Cancel any month.
How maintenance works| Do it yourself with a SaaS tool | Hire a custom agency | Upmark Labs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | A WhatsApp broadcast platform charges monthly per contact tier | A custom build gets quoted after discovery calls | Ours is one fixed price, shown on this page before you buy |
| Scope | A WhatsApp broadcast platform ships a generic campaign editor | An agency agrees scope during the project | Ours is built on your own list and campaign wording |
| Replies | A WhatsApp broadcast platform often stops at delivery, leaving replies to you | An agency build depends on what was agreed | Ours answers replies automatically or hands them to a person |
| Delivery | A WhatsApp broadcast platform needs weeks of template approval and setup | An agency project usually runs several weeks, set per project | Ours has a fixed delivery time shown before you buy, with faster options |
| What it does | A WhatsApp broadcast platform rarely separates outbound sending from one-to-one chat | An agency build depends on what was agreed | Ours is built for outbound; one-to-one chat is a separate product |
The fixed price for each delivery speed is shown in the price and delivery panel on this page. It covers the whole Scope Card: one WhatsApp number, up to two connected systems such as your CRM, five campaign templates submitted to Meta, five reply flows, opt-out handling, 40 test conversations and 30 days of support.
It does both. Once a customer replies, a normal 24-hour conversation session opens, and the agent answers common questions from your approved FAQs or hands the reply to a person. Reply handling is tested as part of the 40 end-to-end conversations before launch, alongside the outbound send itself.
Running costs include WhatsApp conversation fees charged directly by Meta for each template message sent, plus roughly $30 to $150 a month for AI model usage and hosting. You pay those providers directly, in your own accounts, so you keep ownership of every relationship. We charge nothing per campaign sent.
WhatsApp AI Campaign Agent sends outbound broadcasts to a list you already hold, using Meta-approved templates; WhatsApp AI Sales Agent answers people who message your number first, in real time. Choose Campaign Agent when you are the one starting the conversation.
We need your WhatsApp Business Platform account, a verified Meta Business account, your opted-in contact list with a record of how consent was given, the wording for each campaign template, and the inbox replies should reach when they need a person. Template wording goes to Meta for approval during the build, and you sign it off first.
Yes, the reply-handling conversation opens with a short disclosure in your own wording, so recipients know before they continue chatting. Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform expects clarity about automated messaging. You approve the exact wording during intake, and it can be changed later through monthly maintenance.
Opt-outs are recorded and honored automatically, so nobody who asks to stop receives a further campaign message. This is built into the send logic from launch, not something you have to manage manually. Reviewing your opt-out list is one of the tasks covered by monthly maintenance.
Not at present. Since April 2025, Meta has paused marketing template messages to US (+1) numbers. Utility and service messages, replies inside the customer service window and click-to-WhatsApp ad conversations still work. If most of your list is in the US, talk to us before ordering. We recheck Meta's status every quarter.
