AI Weekly Business Review

One document each week combining your key metrics and team updates, ready before the business review meeting starts.

Someone on your team probably spends Sunday night or Monday morning copying numbers into slides. AI Weekly Business Review does that work for you. It pulls metrics and team updates from the tools you already use, lays out trends, owners and open items in your meeting format, and delivers it on schedule. You walk into the review already knowing what needs a decision.

  • One weekly document built from the tools you already use
  • Trends, owners and open items laid out in your format
  • Delivered by email, Slack or Teams before the meeting

What it is

AI Weekly Business Review assembles a single weekly document from your business metrics and team updates across tools you already use, such as Asana, Notion or your CRM, so no one builds slides the night before. It arrives on your schedule with trends, owners and open items laid out.

Why businesses buy it

A weekly review is only useful if the numbers are right and ready. When a manager builds it by hand, it eats hours every week, arrives late and drifts in format, so the meeting spends its first half agreeing what the numbers say. This build assembles the same document every week from your connected sources, checked against three months of your own history before launch. The Scope Card fixes the data sources, metric count and delivery channel before you order, so you know exactly what the report will contain.

Problems this solves

Someone builds the weekly review slides late the night before

The weekly document is assembled from your business metrics and team updates in tools such as Asana, Notion or your CRM. It arrives on your schedule, so nobody builds it by hand.

The weekly meeting spends half its time agreeing on the numbers

Everyone reads the same document, drawn from up to three connected sources and checked against your history. The meeting can move straight to decisions and owners.

Open items from last week quietly drop off the agenda

Open items are carried in the review with their owners until they close. Trends and outstanding actions sit side by side, so nothing disappears between weeks.

A good fit if

Someone on your team spends an hour or more each week pulling numbers and updates together before a Monday or Friday review meeting.
Your metrics and team updates live across a handful of tools your team already uses, rather than one single system.
You want the same structure every week, so the meeting compares like with like instead of starting from a blank deck.
You have at least 3 months of historical data so the report can be checked for accuracy before launch.

Not the right fit if

You want a short daily read rather than a longer weekly document. See AI Daily Operations Agent, which is built for that cadence instead.
You want a document written specifically for executives or the board rather than the operating team's weekly review. See AI Executive Briefing.
You want answers to a specific question, such as what to do about a slipping metric, rather than a recurring status document. See AI Decision Support.
You need more than 3 read-only data sources or more than 25 tracked metrics. Add a note at checkout and we quote the extra scope, or start from our Custom AI enquiry form.

How it works

  1. Read-only access is connected to up to 3 of your data sources, such as a project tool, your CRM and Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
  2. Your key metrics and recurring questions are defined up front, up to 25 in total, covering things like revenue against plan, project status and team capacity.
  3. The week's activity is pulled and organized into the same structure every time: metric summary, notable changes, and open items with owners attached.
  4. The report is checked against 3 months of your historical data during testing, so the numbers match what your team already trusts.
  5. Up to 5 alerts watch for a metric moving meaningfully mid-week, so you are not always waiting for the scheduled report to find out.
  6. It is delivered to the channel you chose, email, Slack or a web dashboard, timed to land before your review meeting starts.

What you provide within 72 hours

Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.

  • Read-only access to each data source you want included, such as your CRM or project tool.
  • Your definitions for the metrics or recurring questions you want in the weekly report.
  • At least 3 months of historical data to check the report against.
  • The report recipients and the delivery channel, whether that is email, Slack or a dashboard.
  • Your current SOPs or the format your team already uses for the review meeting.
  • Admin access and API keys for every connected system, shared by adding our team as a user or creating a key you control, never by email.
  • Your business information (company basics, hours and brand voice), shared during intake.
  • One decision-maker who can confirm the metric definitions and keep the build moving.
  • An API key for your own AI model account (for example OpenAI or Google Gemini), created for this build with a spending limit.
The 72-hour rule. Send everything on your checklist, including access, within 72 hours of ordering so your build starts on time.

Expected benefits and how to measure them

  • Can save the hours spent preparing the weekly review
  • Helps the meeting focus on decisions instead of figures
  • Makes it harder for open items to be forgotten
Prep time for the weekly review
Log the hours spent preparing the review for a month before launch and a month after.
Open items closed each week
Count items closed versus carried over in each weekly review, starting from launch.
Weekly meeting length
Note meeting length for a month before launch and a month after.

Before you start: Record how long the weekly review takes to prepare and run. Keep a copy of a recent review for comparison.

These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.

Running costs

The build price is one-time. Running it afterwards is billed in your own accounts and typically runs ~$20-150/month (AI model usage + hosting/scheduler), depending on how many sources feed the weekly report.

AI usage during the build and testing is also billed to your accounts, so you keep ownership of every provider relationship. Nothing runs through us.

Custom requirements

If you need something outside the Scope Card, add a note at checkout. You get a written Change Quote, and that work only starts once you accept it. Your original order runs on its normal timeline either way. Larger or bespoke projects go through the Custom AI request form instead.

Keep it running

We recommend monthly maintenance: monitoring, fixes and monthly change hours, which cover new metrics, a revised report structure or an extra alert. Maintenance starts after the 30 days of included support, bills monthly, and can be cancelled any month.

$249/mo (the minimum fee, includes 2 change hours)

Optional. Starts after the post-launch support period. Cancel any month.

Questions about this product

How much does AI Weekly Business Review cost to launch?

The launch price for each delivery speed is shown in the panel on this page, and every speed delivers the same Scope Card: up to three read-only data sources, up to 25 defined metrics, the weekly report, testing against three months of your data and two rounds of changes. Running it afterwards costs roughly $20 to $150 a month in AI usage and hosting, in your own accounts.

How is this different from AI Executive Briefing?

This build assembles a document for the team running the weekly operating review, focused on metrics, project status and open items across your work tools. AI Executive Briefing instead prepares a shorter, leadership-facing summary of business, market and team signals, aimed at a different audience and cadence.

Which tools and metrics feed the weekly review?

Up to 3 read-only data sources from tools you already use, commonly a CRM, a project tool like Asana or Notion, and Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. You define the metrics during setup, up to 25 in total, such as revenue against plan, project status and team capacity.

Can the report structure match how we already run the meeting?

Yes. During setup we ask for your current SOPs or meeting format, and the report layout is built around that structure rather than a generic template. Two rounds of changes after the first test outputs let you refine section order and wording before launch.

How much of our team's time does setting up the Weekly Business Review take?

Expect to spend one to two hours defining metrics and gathering historical data inside the 72-hour intake window. After that, expect around an hour reviewing results checked against 3 months of your data, plus the 60-minute recorded handoff session before launch.

Can we add more data sources or metrics later?

Adjusting existing metric definitions or report layout fits inside the monthly change hours of maintenance. Adding a fourth data source or going past 25 tracked metrics is a defined add-on, quoted and agreed before that work starts. Those hours also cover a revised report structure or an extra alert, and maintenance can be cancelled any month.

Will the numbers match what our team already calculates by hand?

That is what the testing phase checks: results are compared against 3 months of your historical data before launch, and any mismatch is corrected before you rely on it. You also get two rounds of changes after seeing the first test outputs.

Where does the weekly review sit among the reporting products?

It is the weekly operating document for the team that runs the business. AI Report Automation gathers figures from your systems into one formatted report. AI Report Narratives writes the commentary for a report you already produce. AI Weekly Business Review builds the weekly operating document with owners and open items. AI Financial Reporting produces the finance pack for leadership. The Executive Reporting Pack add-on adds a leadership summary to an existing Upmark Labs product.
