Open-web research on the topics, competitors or markets you name, delivered as a cited brief on a set schedule.
Keeping up with competitors, markets and industry news by hand means hours of searching and a pile of open tabs. This agent researches the topics, competitors and markets you name across the open web, then sends a cited brief daily or weekly. Every claim links to its source so you can check it, and alerts arrive when something important shifts between briefs.

AI Web Research Agent researches the topics, competitors or markets you name across the open web, then returns a cited brief linking back to every source. It checks tracked sources on a schedule and sends an alert when something worth knowing shifts.
Research done in spare moments is patchy. A competitor's launch is spotted late, a market shift is missed, and claims get repeated without anyone checking the source. The agent turns that into a steady routine: the same questions asked on schedule, answered with links you can verify, delivered where your team already reads. Strategy, sales and marketing get one shared view of the outside world. The Scope Card sets the tracked sources, brief and alerts before you order, so the scope is clear from the start.
Name the topics, competitors or markets you care about. The agent researches them across the open web and returns a cited brief, so your team starts from a summary.
Every point in the brief links back to the page it came from. Your team can open the source and check a claim for themselves before acting on it.
The agent checks up to twenty-five tracked sources on a schedule. When something worth knowing shifts, it sends a change alert to email, Slack or Notion.
Briefs arrive daily or weekly in one shared channel, such as a Notion page or Slack channel. Everyone works from the same findings rather than private notes and open tabs.
Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.
| Option | Delivery time | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 20–30 working days | $3,400 |
| Express | 15–25 working days | $4,000 |
| Rush | 10–20 working days | $4,600 |
Before you start: Log weekly research hours for a month before work starts. List the sources people currently check by hand.
These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.
The build price is one-time. Running it costs roughly $20 to $120 a month in AI usage plus web data or search API costs, depending on how many sources you track and how often the brief runs.
AI usage during the build and testing is also billed to your accounts, so you keep ownership of every provider relationship. Nothing runs through us.
Ask about running costsIf you need something outside the Scope Card, add a note at checkout. You get a written Change Quote, and that work only starts once you accept it. Your original order runs on its normal timeline either way. Larger or bespoke projects go through the Custom AI request form instead.
Request a custom versionFor this build we recommend monthly maintenance, which includes a monthly allowance of change hours for things such as adding tracked sources or adjusting the brief questions. Maintenance starts after the 30 days of support that come with the build, bills monthly, and can be cancelled any month.
$249/mo (the minimum fee, includes 2 change hours)
Optional. Starts after the post-launch support period. Cancel any month.
How maintenance works| Do it yourself with a SaaS tool | Hire a custom agency | Upmark Labs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | A web monitoring tool charges a monthly fee per tracked source | A research firm quotes per report or retainer | Ours is one fixed price, shown on this page before you buy |
| Scope | A monitoring tool is a blank dashboard you configure yourself | A research firm agrees scope for each engagement | Ours is written on the Scope Card before purchase |
| Delivery | A monitoring tool is live once someone sets up every tracker | A research firm engagement usually takes several weeks | Ours has a fixed delivery time shown before you buy, with faster options |
| Sourcing | A monitoring tool often surfaces raw mentions with no synthesis | A research firm's sourcing depends on who wrote the report | Ours writes findings with a citation back to every source |
| Alerts | A monitoring tool alerts on keyword matches, not real significance | A research firm delivers on the schedule it was retained for | Ours alerts when a tracked source changes something material |
The build price for each delivery speed is shown in the panel on this page. It covers research and citation logic built around up to 25 tracked sources, two trial report cycles reviewed with you, one recurring brief with change alerts, and two rounds of changes. The Scope Card lists those limits before you order.
Yes. Every finding links back to the public page it came from, so you can verify a claim before repeating it externally, whether that is a competitor's pricing page, an industry report or a news article. Nothing in the brief is presented without a source you can check yourself.
Delivery time for each speed is in the panel on this page. The clock starts once your intake is submitted, including your list of tracked sources, competitors or topics, the questions the brief should answer, and access to your delivery channel. A clear question list matters most, because it shapes what the agent looks for.
Up to 25 sources, competitors or topics in the base build, checked on the schedule you set, daily or weekly. Tracking more than 25, or running more than one recurring brief with a different question set, is scoped and quoted separately as an add-on rather than included in the base build.
Only the open web and any public sources you name. It does not read your internal systems, support tickets or customer data, which is why it connects to up to two systems at most, typically just the delivery channel and an optional source list stored in a sheet or Notion.
A material change on a tracked source, such as a competitor updating pricing or launching a new feature, based on the thresholds you set during intake. Up to five alerts are included, delivered outside the normal brief schedule so time-sensitive changes do not wait for the next scheduled digest.
Roughly $20 to $120 a month in AI usage plus web data or search API costs, paid directly in your own accounts, scaling with how many sources you track and how often the brief runs. We do not add a markup on top, so the running cost reflects your actual tracked list.
Yes. Adding or swapping a source, or adjusting the brief questions, fits inside the monthly change hours that come with maintenance. Expanding past 25 tracked sources, or adding a second recurring brief, is scoped and quoted separately as an add-on rather than folded into monthly hours, so you approve the cost first.
Order AI Web Research Agent and your first cited brief is ready on a fixed delivery date. The scope above is what you get, in writing, before you pay.
