AI Customer Journey Personalization
Personalizes messages and next steps across the customer journey.
Email content blocks change per recipient based on their history, so the same send reads differently for different people.
One newsletter goes to thousands of people with different histories, yet everyone gets the same products and articles. This build personalizes specific blocks inside each send, such as product picks, a featured article or the call to action, using history from Klaviyo or HubSpot. Recipients with no history get your default block, and your team can read every rule.

AI Email Personalization changes specific content blocks inside a single email send, product recommendations, a featured article, a call to action, based on each recipient's history, rather than sending everyone identical content. It works entirely in your email channel, not on the web. Rules stay visible, with safe default content as fallback.
Static sends treat your list as one audience. Customers see products they already own, and new subscribers see offers meant for loyal buyers. Engagement drops and unsubscribes creep up. This build changes the blocks that matter inside each send, using history your ESP or CRM already holds, without rebuilding your templates. The Scope Card fixes the systems, workflows and test scenarios before you order, so you know which blocks personalize and how the result is measured.
Content blocks inside a single send change by each recipient's history. Product recommendations, a featured article or the call to action can differ per person.
One email is built once, and specific blocks inside it adapt per recipient. Your team avoids building several near-identical versions of the same campaign every time.
Recommendations draw on each recipient's history from your connected systems. Customers are then less likely to be shown items they have already bought from you.
When a recipient has no useful history, safe default content fills the block. Rules stay visible, so your team knows what every subscriber could receive.
Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.
| Option | Delivery time | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 20–30 working days | $3,900 |
| Express | 15–25 working days | $4,600 |
| Rush | 10–20 working days | $5,250 |
Before you start: Record open, click, conversion and unsubscribe rates for your last several campaigns.
These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.
Running this after launch is typically $50 to $250 a month in AI model usage and hosting, on top of whatever you already pay for Klaviyo or HubSpot. Cost tracks how many sends include a personalized block, not the size of your subscriber list.
AI usage during the build and testing period is billed the same way, directly in your own accounts, so every provider relationship stays yours.
Ask about running costsIf your email personalization needs more than the Scope Card covers, note it at checkout. A written Change Quote follows, the extra work waits for your approval, and your original order keeps its planned date. Larger or bespoke projects use the Custom AI request form instead.
Request a custom versionFor this build, monthly maintenance covers monitoring and change hours to add new content options as your catalog or content library grows. It starts after the 30 days of post-launch support and can be cancelled any month.
$249/mo (the minimum fee, includes 2 change hours)
Optional. Starts after the post-launch support period. Cancel any month.
How maintenance works| Do it yourself with a SaaS tool | Hire a custom agency | Upmark Labs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | An ESP charges monthly by subscriber count for its own personalization tier | An agency quotes email personalization as a separate project | Ours is one fixed price, shown on this page before you buy |
| Scope | An ESP gives you merge tags, block logic is yours to build | An agency scope is agreed project by project | Ours is written on the Scope Card, rules built for you |
| Delivery | An ESP feature is available immediately but needs manual setup | An agency email project usually runs a few weeks | Ours has a fixed delivery time shown before you buy, with faster options |
| Depth of matching | An ESP often only supports simple name or tag merges | An agency build depends on what was agreed | Ours matches whole content blocks to real purchase history |
| Measuring impact | An ESP often sells advanced reporting as an add-on | An agency build depends on what was agreed | Ours includes A/B test setup in the price |
One fixed price covers personalized email content blocks across up to two connected systems and up to six workflows, plus 50 documented test scenarios run against your real recipient segments. That price is shown with each delivery speed in the panel on this page, so you know the build cost before ordering, not after a briefing call.
Delivery time is fixed for each speed and shown in the panel on this page, counted from the day intake is complete and access to your ESP or CRM is verified. Most of the calendar time goes on mapping your templates and agreeing recipient segments, so having a current template ready speeds things up.
No, merge tags typically swap a name or a single value into a line of text. This build matches whole content blocks, a product grid, a featured article, a call to action, to a recipient's real purchase or engagement history, so entire sections of the email change, not just a greeting line.
It reads purchase and engagement history from your ESP or CRM, such as Klaviyo or HubSpot, at the moment a send is generated for each recipient. Sample recipient records across a few segments are used to build and test the rules, so blocks reflect real behavior rather than a guessed preference.
Your current default content block, exactly as it exists today, rather than an empty or broken section in the email. Fallback to default content is built into every rule, so a new subscriber or a recipient with thin history never receives a send with a visibly missing or malformed block.
Expect roughly $50 to $250 a month in AI model usage and hosting, on top of whatever you already pay for your ESP or CRM plan. That cost tracks how many sends actually include a personalized block, not the total size of your subscriber list or how often you send overall.
You do. Every recipient segment, content-matching rule and workflow built for your email sends belongs to you once delivered, the same as work from an in-house lifecycle team would. We do not reuse your subscriber data, your matching logic or your content rules for any other customer. That includes the right to export the rule set or move it to another provider at any point, with no ongoing license fee attached.
You have five working days after delivery to flag anything that does not match the Scope Card, and that gets fixed as part of the original build price, not a paid Change Quote. Beyond that window, further tuning of recipient rules runs through monthly maintenance instead. Most fixes at that stage are narrow adjustments to a single recipient rule, not a rebuild of the whole email setup.
