AI products that work with Asana
If your team already plans work in Asana, you do not need another tool to keep projects on track. These AI agents connect natively to Asana. They read and update your tasks, projects and comments, chase deadlines and blockers, and keep both your team and your clients informed with accurate status updates.

What do the Asana editions do?
There are two, and they face different directions. The AI Project Manager Agent for Asana looks inward. It tracks tasks, deadlines and blockers and posts status updates to your team. The AI Project Status Agent for Asana looks outward. It sends clients accurate updates on their projects, drawn from the same tasks and comments your team already keeps current.

- Posting team status updates
- Sending clients accurate project updates
- Reading and updating tasks, projects and comments
How do they work with Asana?
Both agents connect natively to Asana and read and update tasks, projects and comments. That means the updates they write come from the real state of your work, not from someone's memory of it. Your team keeps working in Asana as usual. The agents simply do the chasing and reporting that usually falls to a project manager at the end of a long day.
Questions buyers ask
Which Asana agent should we choose?
If the problem is internal, such as missed deadlines or blockers nobody flagged, choose the AI Project Manager Agent for Asana. If clients keep asking where their project stands, choose the AI Project Status Agent for Asana. Agencies and service firms often find both useful.
Will the agent change our tasks?
Both editions can read and update tasks, projects and comments, for example posting a status comment. The Scope Card spells out what each agent is allowed to change, so you can agree the limits before ordering. Your workspace structure and the way your team works stay the same.
Do clients need an Asana login?
The AI Project Status Agent for Asana sends clients updates drawn from your tasks and projects. How those updates reach clients is set out in the Scope Card. The point is to keep clients informed without giving them access to your internal workspace.
How the connection is set up
The general pattern we follow for every integration.
- 1You create the necessary access in your Asana account: a private app, an API key, or an OAuth approval, depending on what Asana supports.
- 2We agree a secure way to share access during intake. Please never send passwords or API keys by email.
- 3We agree the field mapping with you and test it on sample records before anything goes live.
- 4You can revoke access from Asana or the portal at any time.
Frequently asked questions
Which Asana plan do I need?
It depends on the product. Each product page lists the Asana features it relies on; plan upgrades are not included.
Will it change my existing data?
Only the fields in the mapping agreed with you, and that mapping is tested on sample records before anything goes live.
Can I use a different platform instead?
Many products also have editions for other platforms. See the full integrations list for what is currently published.
