AI Legal Operations Assistant
Handles routine legal-ops coordination and matter tracking.
Two versions of a contract compared automatically, with every change to wording and terms reported clause by clause.
When a counterparty sends back a draft, someone has to find every change, including the ones nobody flagged. AI Contract Comparison reads two versions of the same contract, or a draft against your template, and reports each added, removed or reworded clause with the original wording beside it. Every difference goes to a lawyer review queue, so your lawyers decide what matters.

AI Contract Comparison reads two versions of the same contract, a draft and a counterparty's redline, or a signed version and a renewal, and reports exactly what changed, clause by clause, added, removed or reworded language. It compares only; it does not check against a playbook.
Untracked edits are one of the quiet risks in contract work. A reworded liability cap or a deleted notice clause is easy to miss on a long draft, especially late in a negotiation. Comparing versions by eye is slow and tiring. This build gives your lawyers a complete list of changes every time, so they spend their attention on what the changes mean. It is tested on your own contract pairs before launch, and the Scope Card sets the document types, systems and limits in writing.
The build reads two versions of the same contract and reports exactly what changed, clause by clause. Added, removed and reworded language is listed, whether or not the counterparty marked it.
When a renewal arrives, you can compare it with the signed version through one intake route. The report shows every difference, so reviewers check what changed instead of rereading both.
Comparison works at clause level, so reworded language is reported as a change. Low-confidence matches go to a human review queue rather than being passed silently.
This build compares versions only and does not check against a playbook. That keeps its report focused on differences, leaving judgment on acceptability to your lawyers.
Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.
| Option | Delivery time | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 20–30 working days | $4,400 |
| Express | 15–25 working days | $5,150 |
| Rush | 10–20 working days | $5,950 |
Before you start: Record how long a typical redline comparison takes today and note any recent unmarked changes found late.
These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.
The build price is one-time. Running it is billed in your own accounts, mostly OCR and AI model usage plus storage: roughly $30 to $200 a month depending on document volume.
AI usage during the build and testing is also billed to your accounts, so you keep ownership of every provider relationship. Nothing runs through us.
Ask about running costsIf you need something outside the Scope Card, add a note at checkout. You get a written Change Quote, and that work only starts once you accept it. Your original order runs on its normal timeline either way. Larger or bespoke projects go through the Custom AI request form instead.
Request a custom versionFor AI Contract Comparison, monthly maintenance covers monitoring, fixes, model and platform updates, a monthly health report and monthly hours for changes, enough for a new clause category to track. It starts after the thirty days of support, bills monthly, and can be cancelled any month.
$249/mo (the minimum fee, includes 2 change hours)
Optional. Starts after the post-launch support period. Cancel any month.
How maintenance works| Do it yourself with a SaaS tool | Hire a custom agency | Upmark Labs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | A document comparison tool charges a per-seat subscription regardless of use | A law firm quotes hourly for a manual redline review | Ours is one fixed price, shown on this page before you buy |
| Scope | A generic comparison tool highlights every text change, relevant or not | A firm's review depends on who is assigned that week | Ours reports against the clause fields you defined, on the Scope Card |
| Output | A generic tool produces a marked-up document you still have to read | A firm documents findings in a memo after review | Ours reports each change clause by clause with the wording from both |
| Delivery | A generic comparison tool is usable immediately but untrained on your fields | A firm's turnaround depends on their current caseload | Ours has a fixed delivery time shown before you buy, with faster options |
The build is a one-time fixed price, shown in the price panel on this page next to each delivery speed. It covers the clause-by-clause comparison, template checks, the lawyer review queue, connections to your source and destination, accuracy testing on sample contract pairs and the review rounds on the Scope Card. We charge nothing per comparison afterwards. OCR and AI usage run in your own accounts.
The delivery time is fixed before you buy and shown in the delivery panel on this page, with faster speeds alongside. It starts once your templates, sample contract pairs and system access are in. Most of the build goes into testing comparisons on your real drafts and redlines and writing the accuracy report, so your lawyers can see how it performs before launch.
AI Contract Comparison reports what changed between two versions of the same contract, a redline against your draft. AI Contract Review Workflow instead checks a single contract against your playbook and flags deviations from approved terms. Comparison tracks edits between drafts; Review checks one draft against your standard.
Yes. It is built to compare a draft you sent against the version a counterparty returns, whether that return arrives as a tracked-changes document or a clean rewritten version, and reports the differences either way. Each change is matched to the clause it affects and shown with the wording from both versions.
Running costs are separate from the build price and paid directly to your own providers, typically $30 to $200 a month for OCR, AI model usage and storage depending on document volume. Teams comparing higher volumes of contract pairs sit toward the higher end. Monthly maintenance is optional.
Yes, within limits. Two rounds of changes are included in the build, so most field adjustments happen before launch based on the accuracy report. After that, a new clause category within the 25-field limit fits inside the monthly change hours in maintenance, and a fourth document type comes as a quoted add-on.
It writes comparison reports to the destination system you connect, up to two systems including source and destination, which can be a matter management or document management platform such as iManage or NetDocuments if it accepts programmatic entries. Confirm your specific system during intake so we can plan the connection.
You do. Every sample document pair, field definition and generated report stays under your own account and storage throughout the build and afterwards, and we never hold a separate copy. We configure and test the alignment and comparison logic, hand over an admin guide and a recorded session, then step away at launch, apart from the 30 days of included support.
Order AI Contract Comparison and it starts reporting clause-by-clause changes between contract versions on a fixed delivery date. The scope above is what you get, in writing, before you pay.
