AI Legal Operations Assistant
Handles routine legal-ops coordination and matter tracking.
A contract's parties, term, payment and termination terms distilled into a plain-language summary in minutes.
Sales, finance and operations often need to know what a contract says without reading forty pages or waiting for legal. AI Contract Summarization reads each submitted contract and produces a plain-language summary of parties, term, payment, termination and renewal in a set layout. Summaries are saved to your document or matter system, and uncertain items go to a person for review.

AI Contract Summarization reads one submitted contract and produces a plain-language summary of its parties, term, payment, termination and renewal terms. It works one contract at a time, on demand. It does not flag playbook deviations or give legal advice. For terms extracted across a whole contract library, see AI Contract Intelligence.
Every time someone outside legal asks what a contract says about renewal or payment, a lawyer stops to read it again. Summaries written by hand vary in style and detail, and they rarely get saved where others can find them. This build produces the same structured summary for every contract and files it where your team already looks. It is tested on your sample contracts before launch, with an accuracy report. The Scope Card fixes the document types and fields in writing, and it gives no legal advice.
The build reads each submitted contract and writes a plain-language summary of its key terms. Parties, term length, payment obligations, termination and renewal are set out for someone who needs the gist.
Every summary follows the same fields and validation rules, up to 25 fields per contract type. Readers learn where to look, and nothing important is left out by habit.
Termination and renewal are standard parts of each summary, pulled from the contract itself. Uncertain extractions go to a human review queue before the summary is used.
Contracts arrive through one intake route, such as an inbox or upload folder. Summaries pass to the agreed destination system, so the team sees the gist without opening every document.
Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.
| Option | Delivery time | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 20–30 working days | $4,400 |
| Express | 15–25 working days | $5,150 |
| Rush | 10–20 working days | $5,950 |
Before you start: Record how long a manual summary takes today and how many internal contract questions legal fields each month.
These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.
The build price is one-time. Running it is billed in your own accounts, mostly OCR and AI model usage plus storage: roughly $30 to $200 a month depending on contract volume.
AI usage during the build and testing is also billed to your accounts, so you keep ownership of every provider relationship. Nothing runs through us.
Ask about running costsIf you need something outside the Scope Card, add a note at checkout. You get a written Change Quote, and that work only starts once you accept it. Your original order runs on its normal timeline either way. Larger or bespoke projects go through the Custom AI request form instead.
Request a custom versionFor AI Contract Summarization, monthly maintenance covers monitoring, fixes, model and platform updates, a monthly health report and monthly hours for changes, enough for a new field or document type to summarize. It starts after the thirty days of support, bills monthly, and can be cancelled any month.
$249/mo (the minimum fee, includes 2 change hours)
Optional. Starts after the post-launch support period. Cancel any month.

|---|---|---|---|
| Price | A CLM platform's summary module is bundled into a per-seat subscription | A law firm quotes hourly for a contract summary memo | Ours is one fixed price, shown on this page before you buy |
| Scope | A CLM platform summarizes with its own fixed field set, not yours | A firm's summary depends on who is assigned that week | Ours covers exactly the fields you defined, on the Scope Card |
| Turnaround | A CLM platform's summary appears once the contract is fully processed | A firm's turnaround depends on their current caseload | Ours is delivered to your destination system automatically |
| Delivery | A CLM platform requires migrating contracts into its own format first | A firm's turnaround depends on their current caseload | Ours has a fixed delivery time shown before you buy, with faster options |
The build is a one-time fixed price, shown in the price panel on this page next to each delivery speed. It covers the summary layout and fields, validation rules, the human review queue, connections to your source and destination, accuracy testing on sample contracts and the review rounds on the Scope Card. We charge nothing per contract afterwards; OCR and AI usage run in your accounts.
The delivery time is fixed before you buy and shown in the delivery panel on this page, with faster options where offered. It starts once your sample contracts, preferred summary layout and system access are in. Most of the build goes into tuning the summaries against your real contracts and writing the accuracy report, so you can judge the output before anyone relies on it.
AI Contract Summarization distills a contract's key terms into a plain-language summary for anyone who needs the gist. AI Contract Review Workflow instead checks the contract against a playbook and flags deviations for a lawyer. Summarization tells you what the contract says; Review tells you whether it matches your standard terms.
It is built to summarize the fields you define, parties, term, payment, termination, renewal notice, accurately and consistently, validated against 100 sample documents and an accuracy report before launch. It is a distillation for a quick read, not a substitute for a lawyer reading the full contract when a decision depends on precise clause language.
Running costs are separate from the build price and paid directly to your own providers, typically $30 to $200 a month for OCR, AI model usage and storage depending on contract volume. Teams summarizing higher volumes of contracts sit toward the higher end. Monthly maintenance is optional.
Yes, within limits. Two rounds of changes are included in the build, so most field adjustments happen before launch based on the accuracy report. After that, a new field within the 25-field limit fits inside the monthly change hours in maintenance, and a fourth document type comes as a quoted add-on.
It writes summaries to the destination system you connect, up to two systems including source and destination, which can be a document management or matter management platform such as iManage or NetDocuments if it accepts programmatic entries. Confirm your specific system during intake so we can plan the connection correctly.
You do. Every sample contract, field definition and generated summary stays under your own account and storage throughout the build and afterwards, and we never hold a separate copy. We configure and test the extraction and summarization logic, hand over an admin guide and a recorded session, then step away at launch, apart from the 30 days of included support.
Order AI Contract Summarization and it starts distilling incoming contracts into plain-language summaries on a fixed delivery date. The scope above is what you get, in writing, before you pay.
