Market Intelligence

AI Competitive Intelligence

Living competitor profiles built from pricing, product, hiring and messaging signals combined, kept current as a battlecard your team can use.

Your sales team is asked about competitors on almost every call, and the battlecard they rely on is usually months out of date. This agent builds a profile for each competitor you name, combining pricing and product changes, hiring signals and messaging shifts into one battlecard that stays current. Every update links to its source, and you decide which competitors and signals matter.

  • Competitor battlecards kept current, not rebuilt once a year
  • Pricing, product, hiring and messaging signals in one profile
  • Alerts when a competitor makes a meaningful change

What it is

AI Competitive Intelligence builds and maintains a profile for each competitor you name, combining website pricing and product changes, job postings that signal hiring direction, and messaging shifts into one battlecard. Each change links back to its source, so your team can trust the battlecard.

Why businesses buy it

Deals are lost when a rep is surprised by a competitor's new offer or price change in front of a buyer. Keeping profiles current by hand takes hours each week, so it rarely happens. This agent watches the sources you choose and keeps each battlecard up to date, with links back to the evidence, so sales, marketing and leadership work from the same picture. The written scope lists the tracked sources, the signal types and the delivery channel before you order, and two trial cycles are reviewed with you before launch.

Problems this solves

Battlecards are out of date almost as soon as they are finished

The agent maintains a profile for each competitor you name and updates the battlecard as changes appear. Sales works from the current version instead of last year's slide.

Competitor information is spread across websites, job boards and hearsay

Website pricing, product changes, job postings and messaging shifts are combined into one battlecard per competitor. Your team reads one place rather than piecing together scraps.

Hiring moves that hint at a competitor's plans go unread

Job postings are tracked as a signal of where each competitor is investing. A run of new roles in one area appears on their profile with links to the listings.

Sellers doubt battlecards because nobody knows where claims came from

Each change on the battlecard links back to its source. Sellers can open the page themselves, which helps them trust what they repeat to prospects.

A good fit if

You need more than one signal on your competitors, pricing, product, hiring and messaging together, not a single-dimension feed.
Sales or product teams use battlecards and want them kept current automatically instead of updated manually before a big deal.
You track named competitors closely enough that a hiring surge or a messaging pivot on their site is worth knowing about, not just a price change.
You want up to 25 tracked sources spanning several signal types for each competitor, delivered as one profile rather than several separate reports.

Not the right fit if

You only need one signal, such as price or website changes. See AI Price Monitoring or AI Competitor Website Monitor, both narrower and cheaper.
You need this combined with market sizing and customer signals into one monthly system for leadership. See AI Market Intelligence.
You want broader industry and press coverage rather than competitor profiles specifically. See AI News Intelligence.
You need the agent to act on a competitor's site, not just watch it. See AI Web Task Agent or AI Browser Automation Agent.

How it works

  1. You name the competitors and the signals that matter. Pricing pages, product pages, careers pages and messaging pages across up to 25 tracked sources are agreed during intake.
  2. Each signal type is checked on its own schedule. Pricing and product pages are checked more often than a careers page, since they typically move faster.
  3. Signals are combined into one profile per competitor. A price change, a new job posting for a specific role, and a rewritten homepage headline all feed the same living profile rather than three separate alerts nobody connects.
  4. The profile reads as a battlecard. Current pricing, recent product moves, hiring direction and messaging themes are laid out for each competitor, ready to use in a sales or planning conversation.
  5. Every signal is sourced. Each item in the profile links back to the page or posting it came from, so your team can verify it before repeating it in a deal.
  6. Alerts fire when something shifts a competitor's position. A recurring brief rounds up the period, and a material change, such as a new pricing tier, triggers an immediate alert.

What you provide within 72 hours

Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.

  • The named competitors and the signal types you want tracked for each: pricing, product, hiring, messaging, or a mix.
  • The specific questions the profile should answer, so it stays useful for the team that uses it.
  • Access to the delivery channel for the brief: email, Slack or Notion.
  • Admin access and any API keys for connected systems, shared by adding our team as a user or creating a key you control, never by email.
  • Your business information (company basics, hours and brand voice), shared during intake.
  • One decision-maker who can approve the tracked competitors and sign off during review.
  • An API key for your own AI model account (for example OpenAI or Google Gemini), created for this build with a spending limit.
The 72-hour rule. Send everything on your checklist, including access, within 72 hours of ordering so your build starts on time.

Expected benefits and how to measure them

  • Can give sales current battlecards they are willing to trust.
  • Helps leadership read competitor direction from several signals at once.
  • Makes competitor research less dependent on one person.
Win rate against named competitors
Pull win rates per competitor from your CRM. Compare the two quarters before launch with the two after.
Battlecard use
Count views or shares of each battlecard in Notion or Slack. Track the trend month on month.
Time spent on competitor research
Log weekly hours spent on research by hand before launch. Compare with the hours after.

Before you start: Pull your current win rate against each named competitor from the CRM. Note when each existing battlecard was last updated.

These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.

Running costs

Running this costs roughly $20 to $120 a month, covering AI usage and any web data or search APIs the tracking draws on. Combining several signal types across 25 sources usually sits toward the upper end of that range.

The build price is one-time. Ongoing usage bills to your own accounts, so you keep the provider relationships and the invoices in your name.

Questions about this product

What signals go into an AI Competitive Intelligence profile?

Pricing and product changes from competitor pages, hiring direction from job postings, and messaging shifts from homepage and marketing copy, combined into one living profile per competitor. Up to 25 tracked sources across the competitors you name feed the profile, and you choose which signal types matter most.

How is AI Competitive Intelligence different from AI Competitor Website Monitor or AI Price Monitoring?

Both of those track a single signal type: website changes or price changes. This build combines pricing, product, hiring and messaging signals into one battlecard per competitor, so your team sees the full picture in one place. Choose a single-signal monitor when one kind of change is all you need, and this build when your sales team needs a complete, current profile.

Does AI Competitive Intelligence track hiring the same way a recruiting platform does?

It watches the careers pages and job postings you point it at for the roles and volume a competitor is hiring for, which signals direction, such as expanding into a new function. It does not replicate a recruiting platform's full database; it is one input into the broader profile.

How current is the AI Competitive Intelligence battlecard?

Pricing and product pages are checked more often than slower-moving pages like careers, so the profile reflects recent activity rather than a stale snapshot. A recurring brief rounds up the period, and a material change triggers an immediate alert on top of it.

How much does AI Competitive Intelligence cost to run each month?

Roughly $20 to $120 a month for AI usage and any web data or search APIs the tracking draws on, billed to your own accounts. The build price is a single one-time payment that covers setup, testing and launch, with no monthly fee from us.

Can I add more competitors to AI Competitive Intelligence later?

Yes. Swapping tracked sources within the existing 25-source limit fits inside the monthly change hours in maintenance, which you can cancel any month. Expanding past 25 tracked sources or adding a second delivery channel goes through a Change Quote, priced before work starts.

Is AI Competitive Intelligence the same as AI Market Intelligence?

No. This build is scoped to competitor profiles specifically. AI Market Intelligence combines competitor signals like these with market sizing and customer signals into one monthly system for leadership, spanning more ground and more connected systems than this build covers.

What if an AI Competitive Intelligence profile is missing a signal at launch?

You get two rounds of changes during the trial report cycles before launch, to fix which signals feed each profile. After delivery you have five working days to report anything that does not match the agreed scope, fixed at no extra cost.

Give your team a battlecard that updates itself.

Order AI Competitive Intelligence and each competitor you name gets a living battlecard, combining pricing, product, hiring and messaging signals, with every change sourced.
