AI receptionist for small business: calls, bookings and handoffs
What an AI receptionist does on a real call, the rules that apply, a sample greeting and a pass/fail checklist to launch one safely.
AI and human support queues, SLAs and quality, watched live in one view, with risk flagged before it becomes a complaint.
When AI agents and people share the support load, problems can hide in the gap between them. This supervisor watches both queues together, tracks SLA countdowns and scores conversation quality as it happens. It flags a drifting ticket, a backing-up queue or a reply that misses your quality bar, and alerts the right person before a customer has to escalate.

AI Support Supervisor watches your AI and human support queues together, tracks SLA countdowns, and scores conversation quality in real time. It flags a drifting ticket, a backing-up queue, or a reply that misses your quality bar, and alerts the right person before a customer has to escalate.
Running AI and human support together brings a new risk: nobody owns the whole picture. An AI queue can quietly hand off too much, a human queue can back up, and SLA breaches appear only in next month's report. After launch, one live view shows both queues, SLA risk and quality, with alerts while there is still time to act. The Scope Card sets the data sources, alerts and delivery channel before you order, so supervisors know exactly what they will be told and when.
AI Support Supervisor tracks SLA countdowns across your queues and alerts the right person before a ticket drifts past target. Alerts go to email, Slack or a web dashboard.
It reads your AI and human support queues together through up to three read-only sources. One view shows where work is backing up, whoever or whatever is handling it.
Conversation quality is scored in real time against the quality bar you set. A reply that misses it is flagged, so a lead can step in before a customer escalates.
Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.
| Option | Delivery time | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 20–30 working days | $5,900 |
| Express | 15–25 working days | $6,800 |
| Rush | 10–20 working days | $7,650 |
Before you start: Record a month of SLA breaches, escalations and queue backlog from your helpdesk. Note how leads currently watch the queues.
These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.
The build price is one-time. Running the supervisor afterwards is paid in your own accounts, and it is mostly AI model usage plus light hosting or scheduler costs: roughly $20 to $150 a month for most support teams, regardless of how many tickets pass through the queue.
AI usage during the build and testing is also billed to your accounts, so you keep ownership of every provider relationship. Nothing runs through us.
Ask about running costsIf you need more queues watched, more alert types, or oversight for a larger support team, add a note at checkout. You get a written Change Quote, and that work only starts once you accept it. Your original order runs on its normal timeline either way. Larger or bespoke projects go through the Custom AI request form instead.
Request a custom versionMonthly maintenance covers monitoring, fixes and change hours each month for work such as a revised SLA target, a new quality rule or an added alert. It starts after the post-launch support period, bills monthly and can be cancelled any month.
$295/mo (5% of the build price a month, includes 2 change hours)
Optional. Starts after the post-launch support period. Cancel any month.
How maintenance works| Do it yourself with a SaaS tool | Hire a custom agency | Upmark Labs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | Helpdesk quality-assurance add-ons are billed per seat, on top of your existing plan | A custom agency quotes after discovery calls | Ours is one fixed price, shown on this page before you buy |
| Coverage | A QA add-on usually samples a percentage of tickets | An agency agrees scope during the project | Ours watches every ticket against your SLA and quality rules |
| Delivery | A QA add-on can be turned on quickly but tuned loosely | An agency usually takes several weeks, set per project | Ours has a fixed delivery time shown before you buy, with faster options |
| Human and AI queues | Most QA tools were built for human agents only | An agency build depends on what was agreed | Ours watches AI and human queues in the same view |
| Alerts | A QA add-on typically reports weekly, after the fact | An agency build depends on what was agreed | Ours alerts the moment a ticket needs a person |
One fixed price covers the whole build and is shown on this page before you buy, with express and rush delivery listed beside it at a set extra cost. The price covers both AI and human queue oversight, agreed and fixed before you buy, with no separate quote for each queue you connect.
Roughly $20 to $150 a month, covering AI model usage and the hosting or scheduler that keeps the live view current. You pay that directly to your own providers, in your own accounts. Monthly maintenance is optional if you want us managing changes to SLA rules.
You see the fixed delivery time before you buy, counted from a verified intake, and you can choose express or rush delivery if your launch date is close. Most of the time goes into agreeing SLA targets and checking thresholds against three months of your real ticket history.
Read-only access to each queue and system you want supervised, shared by adding our team as a user or creating a key you control, never by email. It does not reply to customers or edit tickets itself. We also need at least three months of historical data so the thresholds match how your queue actually behaves.
Yes. Two rounds of changes are included before launch, based on how the flags perform against your real queue. After that, adjustments such as a new SLA target or a revised quality rule fit inside the monthly change hours that come with maintenance.
No. The 30 days of post-launch support are included in the build price with nothing extra to pay. After that, monthly maintenance is optional, not required, and you can cancel it in any month if your queues stabilize and you no longer need frequent changes.
You do. It runs on top of your own helpdesk, hosting and AI provider accounts, so nothing is tied to us to keep it working. If you ever move away from Upmark Labs, the SLA rules, quality scoring and every connection stay in your accounts, not ours.
Order AI Support Supervisor and get one live view of your AI and human queues, with SLA and quality risks flagged while there is still time to act.
