AI Promotion Planner

See a promotion's likely margin impact before it launches, not after the sale is already live.

A promotion that looks great on revenue can quietly wipe out margin or empty your best-selling stock. This planner lets you test the idea first. Describe the discount, the products and the dates, and it models likely sell-through, revenue and margin from how your own customers responded before. It flags stock risk, and your team still makes the final call.

  • Revenue and margin impact modeled before a promotion goes live
  • Stock risks flagged where demand could outrun what you hold
  • Forecasts based on your own past promotions, not industry averages

What it is

AI Promotion Planner is a reporting service that models a proposed promotion, such as a discount depth, a bundle offer or a seasonal sale, against your own margin, stock and order history, and shows the likely revenue and margin impact before you commit to it.

Why businesses buy it

Discounting is one of the quickest ways to grow sales and one of the easiest ways to lose money. Many stores only learn a promotion was too deep after the margin report arrives. This planner turns that guess into an informed decision, using your own sales history, margins and stock. It never launches anything on its own. The scope is set in writing before you order, including the data sources, the report format and how the model is tested, so the decision to buy is straightforward.

Problems this solves

Promotions are launched without knowing what they will do to margin

The planner models a proposed discount, bundle offer or seasonal sale against your own margin, stock and order history. It shows the likely revenue and margin impact before you commit.

A sale empties stock of one product and leaves another untouched

Stock levels are part of every model, read from up to three read-only sources. You can see where a promotion might run short or leave overstock.

Past promotions are never reviewed against what was expected

A dashboard or recurring report tracks up to 25 defined metrics with up to five alerts. The model was checked against three months of your history before launch.

A good fit if

You regularly plan discounts, seasonal sales or bundle promotions and currently estimate the margin impact by hand or by gut feeling.
You can grant read-only access to your order history, catalog and margin data on a platform such as Shopify, WooCommerce or Adobe Commerce.
You want a recurring report or dashboard that models a promotion before launch, not a tool that runs the promotion for you.
You want to be warned before you launch a promotion that would sell through stock you do not actually have enough of.

Not the right fit if

You want ongoing price recommendations for everyday selling, not modeling for a specific promotion. See AI Ecommerce Pricing Assistant, which recommends price changes using margin, stock and competitor data.
You want bundle pairing suggestions based on what customers buy together, not promotion margin modeling. See AI Bundle Recommendation.
Your priority is forecasting stock levels generally, not the stock risk of one specific promotion. See AI Inventory Intelligence, which forecasts stock needs and flags stockouts and overstock.
You want the promotion actually built and scheduled in your store, not just modeled. That execution work sits outside this dashboard's scope; add a note at checkout for a Custom AI inquiry.

How it works

  1. We connect read-only to your store platform, such as Shopify, WooCommerce or Adobe Commerce, and pull at least three months of order, margin and stock history.
  2. You describe the promotion you are considering: the discount depth, which products it covers, and the dates, either as a note or a short call during intake.
  3. The planner models expected sell-through, revenue and margin against your own historical response to similar promotions, not an industry-average benchmark.
  4. It flags stock risk where the modeled demand would outrun what you currently hold, so a promotion is never planned around stock you do not have.
  5. Results are delivered to the one channel you chose. Email, Slack or a dashboard, with up to five alerts for changes worth a second look.
  6. You and your team make the final call on discount depth and dates. The planner models the outcome; it does not launch the promotion.

What you provide within 72 hours

Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.

  • Read-only access to your store platform's order, margin and stock data, such as a Shopify or WooCommerce staff account or API app.
  • At least three months of order history, so promotion modeling reflects how your own customers actually respond.
  • Your own margin figures or cost data, since discount impact cannot be modeled from revenue alone.
  • The recipients and delivery channel for the report, whether that is an inbox, a Slack channel or a dashboard login.
  • Your shipping, returns and refund policies, so modeled promotions never assume terms you do not actually offer.
  • Admin access and API keys for every connected system, shared by adding our team as a user or creating a key you control, never by email.
  • Your business information (company basics, hours and brand voice), shared during intake.
  • One person on your side who can approve the promotion scenarios modeled and sign off on launch.
  • An API key for your own AI model account (for example OpenAI or Google Gemini), created for this build with a spending limit.
The 72-hour rule. Send everything on your checklist, including access, within 72 hours of ordering so your build starts on time.

What you receive at handover

  • AI Promotion Planner configured in your environment, with read-only links to up to three data sources
  • A dashboard or recurring report showing modeled revenue and margin impact (projections to guide decisions; no promotion is run for you)
  • Up to five alerts on the delivery channel you chose
  • A test report checked against three months of historical data
  • An admin guide, the recorded 60-minute handoff and 30 days of post-launch support

Expected benefits and how to measure them

  • Helps you choose discount depth with margin in view
  • Can reduce promotions that sell well but earn little
  • Makes it easier to plan stock around a sale
Gross margin on promoted orders
Compare margin on promotion orders from your store or accounting reports for promotions run before and after adopting the planner.
Forecast versus actual revenue
Set the planner's projection beside the actual result after each promotion ends.
Stockouts during promotions
Count promoted products that ran out during the sale, from your inventory records.

Before you start: Gather results from your last two or three promotions: revenue, margin and any stockouts. These become your comparison set.

These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.

Running costs

The build price is one-time. Running the dashboard afterwards costs roughly $20 to $150 a month, covering AI model usage plus the hosting and scheduler that refresh your report. Stores modeling only a handful of promotions a quarter tend to sit toward the lower end of that range.

AI usage during the build and testing is billed to your own accounts too, so every provider relationship stays yours. Nothing runs through us.

Custom requirements

If you need more than three data sources, another language, or extra dashboards, add a note at checkout. You get a written Change Quote, and your original order still runs on its normal timeline. Larger or bespoke projects go through the Custom AI request form instead.

Keep it running

Monthly maintenance covers monitoring, fixes and a monthly allowance of change hours, enough to model a new promotion type or adjust margin assumptions. It starts after the thirty days of support included in the build, bills monthly, and can be cancelled any month.

$249/mo (the minimum fee, includes 2 change hours)

Optional. Starts after the post-launch support period. Cancel any month.

Questions about this product

What does the AI Promotion Planner build include?

It covers read-only connections to your data sources, the margin and stock modeling logic, a test against three months of your own history, the report or dashboard with up to five alerts, two rounds of changes and a recorded handoff session. The fixed price and faster delivery options are shown on this page before you order.

How much does AI Promotion Planner cost to run each month?

Roughly $20 to $150 a month, covering AI model usage plus the hosting and scheduler that refresh your report. You pay that directly in your own accounts, not to us. Stores modeling a handful of promotions per quarter typically land toward the lower end of that range.

How long until AI Promotion Planner is live?

Delivery follows a fixed schedule shown before you buy, with express and rush options if a big sale is coming up. The clock starts once your data sources, margin figures and report recipients are confirmed, usually within 72 hours of ordering. Before launch you see the model tested against promotions you have already run.

What data does AI Promotion Planner need from my store?

Read-only access to your order history, catalog and margin or cost data, plus at least three months of history, shared by adding our team as a user or creating a key you control, never by email. We never need write access, because the output is a modeled forecast for your team to review, not an automatic price change.

Can AI Promotion Planner tell me if I will run out of stock?

Yes, within the scope of the promotion you are modeling. It checks your current stock levels against the demand the model expects, and flags where a promotion would sell through more than you actually hold, so you can adjust quantity, dates or discount depth before launch rather than after.

Can I model a new type of promotion later?

Yes. Modeling a new promotion type or adjusting margin assumptions fits inside the monthly change hours of optional maintenance. A new data source or an added delivery channel is handled as an add-on or a Change Quote, priced before it starts.

Who owns the reports AI Promotion Planner produces?

You do. The modeling logic, the report and the underlying configuration live in your own accounts and store platform once the build is delivered. If you later move to a different agency or bring the work in-house, nothing about it is locked to us.

Know a promotion's margin impact before you launch it.

Order AI Promotion Planner and model every promotion against your own margin and stock data before it goes live, delivered on a fixed date.
