What does the Freshservice edition handle?

Internal service desks carry a lot of repeat requests. Many can be answered from your existing solution articles, or need only a quick lookup of an asset record. The agent handles those directly. Anything it should not resolve gets routed to the right team inside Freshservice, so your IT staff spend their time on requests that genuinely need them.

  • Resolves routine employee IT requests
  • Routes other requests to the right team
  • Works from your Freshservice solution articles
  • Reads and updates tickets and assets

Why use the Freshservice edition rather than a general bot?

A general chatbot would need its own copy of your knowledge and would leave tickets out of step with your service desk. The Freshservice edition connects natively, so answers come from your real solution articles, routed requests land as proper tickets, and asset details stay current. Your reporting in Freshservice keeps working as before, with the AI's work included.

Questions buyers ask

Does it replace our IT service desk team?

No. It takes routine requests off their plate and routes the rest. Your team still handles anything complex, sensitive or unusual. Which request types the agent resolves on its own, and which it always passes on, are set out in the Scope Card before it goes live.

Where do employees talk to the agent?

The Scope Card for the Freshservice edition sets out the channels covered. If your staff mostly ask for help in chat, the AI Helpdesk Agent also comes in Slack and Microsoft Teams editions, as well as a Jira Service Management edition. Pick the one that matches where requests actually arrive.

Will it keep our solution articles up to date?

It reads and updates solution articles in Freshservice as part of its connection. How it uses that access, for example suggesting updates for review, is defined in the Scope Card. Your team stays in control of what employees see, so articles do not change without someone agreeing.

How the connection is set up

The general pattern we follow for every integration.

  1. 1You create the necessary access in your Freshservice account: a private app, an API key, or an OAuth approval, depending on what Freshservice supports.
  2. 2We agree a secure way to share access during intake. Please never send passwords or API keys by email.
  3. 3We agree the field mapping with you and test it on sample records before anything goes live.
  4. 4You can revoke access from Freshservice or the portal at any time.

Frequently asked questions

Which Freshservice plan do I need?

It depends on the product. Each product page lists the Freshservice features it relies on; plan upgrades are not included.

Will it change my existing data?

Only the fields in the mapping agreed with you, and that mapping is tested on sample records before anything goes live.

Can I use a different platform instead?

Many products also have editions for other platforms. See the full integrations list for what is currently published.

Staging copy for testing. Not the live site; payments are in PayPal sandbox and every email goes to the team.
