Reviews & Research

AI Review Intelligence

Reads every product review and turns recurring themes, quality issues and standout praise into a report you can act on.

Your reviews are full of free product research, but nobody has time to read them all. This service does. It reads every product and store review, groups recurring themes such as sizing, durability or shipping delays, and tracks how each one is trending. When complaints about a product suddenly spike, you hear about it the same day, not after the returns arrive.

  • Recurring review themes grouped and tracked over time
  • Quality issues caught before they show up as returns
  • Same-day alerts when complaints about a product spike

What it is

AI Review Intelligence reads the text of your product and store reviews, groups recurring themes such as sizing, durability or shipping delays, and flags quality issues before they show up in returns. Findings land in a dashboard or recurring report your team already checks.

Why businesses buy it

A product problem usually appears in reviews long before it shows up in returns or sales figures. Missing that signal means more refunds, lower ratings and stock you cannot sell. Reading reviews one by one does not scale once you have a real catalog. This service turns the text into clear themes and alerts, so your product and customer teams know where to act first. It reads but never posts. Data sources, themes and testing are fixed in writing before you buy.

Problems this solves

Hundreds of reviews pile up and nobody reads them all

The service reads the text of your product and store reviews. It groups recurring themes such as sizing, durability or shipping delays, so patterns stand out.

Product faults only show up once returns start climbing

Quality issues are flagged as they appear in review text. Up to five alerts can warn your team early, giving time to act before the problem spreads to returns.

Review insights never reach product or operations teams

Findings land in a dashboard or recurring report your team already checks. Results were tested against three months of your own review history before going live.

A good fit if

You get a steady stream of product reviews and want the recurring complaints and praise pulled out automatically, not read one by one.
You've noticed returns or support tickets climbing on certain products and want review text checked for the quality issues behind them.
You want a recurring report or dashboard, plus up to five alerts, so a sudden spike in a specific complaint reaches you the same week it starts.
Your reviews already live in your store platform or a connected tool such as Klaviyo or Gorgias, and you're comfortable giving read-only access to them.

Not the right fit if

You want replies drafted and posted back to reviewers, not the review text analyzed for themes. See AI Review Response Agent, which is built for that job.
You want overall store sales and margin performance, not review content. See AI Ecommerce Analytics.
You want competitor pricing and catalog moves tracked, not your own review text. See AI Competitor Product Intelligence.
You need more than 25 tracked metrics or recurring questions, or more than three connected data sources. Add a note at checkout for a Change Quote, or start from our Custom AI enquiry form.

How it works

  1. You define what to track. Up to 25 recurring themes or quality questions go in, such as sizing accuracy, durability complaints, shipping delays or a specific product's fit issues.
  2. Read-only access is connected. Up to three data sources link in, drawn from your store platform plus tools such as Klaviyo or Gorgias, without ever posting anything back.
  3. Three months of review history are checked. Past reviews run through the defined themes to confirm the groupings match what your team already sees in the raw text.
  4. Themes are built into a dashboard or report. One dashboard or recurring report is set up, showing volume and sentiment per theme, plus up to five alerts for sudden spikes.
  5. Alerts fire when a theme spikes. A jump in complaints about a specific product or issue triggers an alert to your chosen channel, ahead of the next scheduled report.
  6. You review it and we hand it off. Two rounds of changes refine the themes and layout, then a recorded 60-minute session covers how to read and use the findings.

What you provide within 72 hours

Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.

  • Read-only admin or API access to your store platform and any review or helpdesk tool you want included.
  • The themes and quality questions you want tracked, such as sizing, durability or shipping complaints, described in your own words.
  • At least three months of historical review data for us to test the groupings against.
  • Your shipping, returns and refund policies, so quality issues are read in the right context.
  • The report recipients and the delivery channel you want findings delivered to, whether email, Slack or a dashboard.
  • Admin access and API keys for every connected system, shared by adding our team as a user or creating a key you control, never by email.
  • Your business information (company basics, hours and brand voice), shared during intake.
  • One decision-maker who can approve the tracked themes before the build moves to testing.
  • An API key for your own AI model account (for example OpenAI or Google Gemini), created for this build with a spending limit.
The 72-hour rule. Send everything on your checklist, including access, within 72 hours of ordering so your build starts on time.

Time from first mention to action
Note when a theme was flagged and when the team acted.

These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.

Running costs

The build price is one-time. Running the review analysis costs roughly $20 to $150 a month, covering AI model usage plus hosting and scheduler fees, billed directly in your own accounts. Stores with a high volume of reviews or frequent alert checks sit toward the top of that range.

AI usage during the build and testing is also billed to your accounts, so every provider relationship stays yours. Nothing runs through us.

Custom requirements

If you need something outside the Scope Card, add a note at checkout. You get a written Change Quote, and that work only starts once you accept it. Your original order keeps its delivery date either way. Larger or bespoke projects go through the Custom AI request form instead.

Questions about this product

What is included in the AI Review Intelligence build?

Up to three read-only data sources, up to 25 tracked themes or quality questions, one dashboard or recurring report with volume and sentiment per theme, up to five alerts, a check against three months of review history, two rounds of changes and a recorded handoff session. The fixed price is shown on this page before you order.

What does AI Review Intelligence cost to run each month?

Budget around $20 to $150 a month for AI model usage plus hosting and scheduler fees, paid directly in your own accounts rather than through us. Stores with a heavy review volume, or checking alerts more often than weekly, tend to sit nearer the top of that range.

How soon will AI Review Intelligence be live?

Delivery follows a fixed schedule shown before you buy, counted from a verified intake, with three months of review history checked before anything ships. Express and rush delivery are both available if you need findings sooner, for example ahead of a product relaunch. Either faster option is chosen at checkout rather than requested later.

What review data does AI Review Intelligence need access to?

Read-only admin or API access to your store platform, plus any review or helpdesk tool such as Klaviyo or Gorgias you want included, and at least three months of historical review data to test the theme groupings against. Access credentials are shared by adding our team as a user or creating a key you control, never sent by email.

Can I track new themes after launch?

Yes, through monthly maintenance. Adding a new theme, retuning sensitivity after a product launch, or adjusting an alert threshold all fit inside its monthly change hours. Expanding past the 25-theme scope in one change is scoped and priced as a Change Quote first.

Is there a contract if I keep maintenance running?

No. Plans on this build run month to month, and you can cancel at any point without a fixed term. Review theme tracking keeps working on its existing setup regardless; the plan only pays for hours spent changing themes or thresholds afterward, and unused hours never carry into the next month.

Does Upmark Labs store or publish our review data?

No. The analysis runs on review data read directly from your own store and connected tools, and findings are handed to you as a dashboard or report you control. We configure the theme rules during the build, but ownership of the reviews and the resulting insights stays with you throughout.

Stop reading reviews one at a time.

Order AI Review Intelligence and the recurring themes and quality issues hidden in your reviews are surfaced in a clear report from a fixed delivery date.
