AI Ecommerce Pricing Assistant

Get a ranked list of price changes worth making, based on your own margin, stock and competitor data.

Pricing a catalog by hand means some products sit too cheap while others stop selling. This assistant reviews every product against your margin targets, stock position and, where you provide them, competitor prices. It sends a ranked list of suggested changes with the reasoning written out, so your team can approve the right ones quickly. It never changes a live price itself.

  • A ranked list of price changes worth making this cycle
  • Plain reasoning behind every recommendation, from margin to stock
  • Your team approves every change; nothing updates automatically

What it is

AI Ecommerce Pricing Assistant is a recurring report that reviews your own catalog against margin targets, stock levels and competitor prices. It then recommends specific price changes for your team to approve, on the schedule you choose. Every recommendation shows its reasoning. Tools that only watch competitor prices are listed below.

Why businesses buy it

In a busy store, prices are often set once and revisited only when something goes wrong. Meanwhile healthy stock sits on thin margins and fast sellers stay underpriced. Reviewing hundreds of SKUs by hand is slow, so it rarely happens. This assistant does the review on schedule and explains each suggestion, so decisions take minutes instead of days. Your team keeps full control of every price. The written scope covers data sources, rules and testing before you order, so you know exactly what arrives.

Problems this solves

Prices stay unchanged for months while costs and competitors move

The assistant reviews your catalog against margin targets, current stock and competitor prices on the schedule you choose. It recommends specific price changes for your team to approve.

Price decisions rest on hunches nobody can explain later

Every recommendation shows the reasoning behind it. Your team can approve or reject each one with the margin, stock and competitor context in front of them.

Slow-moving stock sits at full price for too long

Stock levels feed into each review, and up to five alerts can flag products drifting from your targets. Results were checked against three months of history before launch.

A good fit if

You manage pricing across a catalog too large to review product by product every week, and prices tend to drift out of date.
You can grant read-only access to your margin, stock and catalog data on a platform such as Shopify, WooCommerce or Adobe Commerce.
You want a ranked, recurring list of recommended price changes for a person to approve, not prices that change automatically without review.
You already track, or can share, a few competitor prices you want factored into the recommendations.

Not the right fit if

You want to model the margin impact of one specific upcoming promotion, not ongoing everyday pricing. See AI Promotion Planner, which plans promotions and estimates their margin impact before launch.
You want stock forecasting on its own, without pricing recommendations attached. See AI Inventory Intelligence, which forecasts stock needs and flags stockouts and overstock.
You want a general pricing brief for the wider business, drawn from market and competitor sources rather than your store data. See AI Pricing Intelligence Agent.
You only want competitor and marketplace prices tracked, with change alerts and no recommendations. See AI Price Monitoring.
You want competitor launches, promotions and restocks tracked, not price changes for your own catalog. See AI Competitor Product Intelligence.
You want price changes applied automatically without a person reviewing them first. This build always recommends for approval; add a note at checkout for a Custom AI inquiry if automatic execution is required.

How it works

  1. We connect read-only to your store platform, such as Shopify, WooCommerce or Adobe Commerce, and pull margin, stock and catalog data alongside at least three months of order history.
  2. Each product is checked against the margin target and stock position you set, for example flagging items with healthy stock but thinning margin.
  3. Where you provide competitor prices, such as through Google Merchant Center data or a manual list, those are weighed alongside your own margin position, not used alone.
  4. Recommended price changes are ranked by expected impact and delivered to the one channel you chose, with the reasoning behind each one shown plainly.
  5. Up to five alerts flag products moving fast enough, or slow enough, to need a pricing decision sooner than the regular schedule.
  6. Your team reviews and applies the changes that make sense. The assistant recommends; it never changes a live price on its own.

What you provide within 72 hours

Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.

  • Read-only access to your store platform's catalog, margin and stock data, such as a Shopify or WooCommerce staff account or API app.
  • At least three months of order history, so recommendations reflect how your own products actually sell.
  • Your margin targets or cost data, since pricing cannot be recommended sensibly from revenue figures alone.
  • Any competitor prices you already track, or access to a source such as Google Merchant Center, so recommendations account for the market.
  • The recipients and delivery channel for the report, whether that is an inbox, a Slack channel or a dashboard login.
  • Admin access and API keys for every connected system, shared by adding our team as a user or creating a key you control, never by email.
  • Your business information (company basics, hours and brand voice), shared during intake.
  • One person on your side who can approve pricing logic and sign off on launch.
  • An API key for your own AI model account (for example OpenAI or Google Gemini), created for this build with a spending limit.
The 72-hour rule. Send everything on your checklist, including access, within 72 hours of ordering so your build starts on time.

Expected benefits and how to measure them

  • Can keep prices closer to your margin targets
  • Helps the team make price calls with the reasons written down
  • Makes it easier to act on slow stock sooner
Gross margin by category
Compare category margins in your accounting or store reports for the quarter before launch with the quarter after.
Recommendations reviewed and applied
Count approved and rejected recommendations from each report cycle.
Days of stock on slow movers
Track it for your slowest products from inventory reports monthly.

Before you start: Record current gross margin by category and list products that have not sold in the last two months.

These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.

Running costs

The build price is one-time. Running the assistant afterwards costs roughly $20 to $150 a month, covering AI model usage plus the hosting and scheduler that refresh your recommendations. Catalogs of a few hundred SKUs typically sit toward the lower end of that range.

AI usage during the build and testing is billed to your own accounts too, so every provider relationship stays yours. Nothing runs through us.

Custom requirements

If you need more than three data sources, another language, or extra dashboards, add a note at checkout. You get a written Change Quote, and your original order still runs on its normal timeline. Larger or bespoke projects go through the Custom AI request form instead.

Keep it running

Monthly maintenance covers monitoring, fixes and change hours, enough to update margin targets or add a competitor source. It starts after the thirty days of support included in the build, bills monthly, and can be cancelled any month.

$249/mo (the minimum fee, includes 2 change hours)

Optional. Starts after the post-launch support period. Cancel any month.

Questions about this product

What does the AI Ecommerce Pricing Assistant build include?

It covers read-only connections to your store and pricing data, recommendation logic built around your margin targets, a test against three months of history, delivery to your chosen channel with up to five alerts, two rounds of changes and a recorded handoff session. The fixed price and faster delivery options are shown on this page before you order.

How much does AI Ecommerce Pricing Assistant cost to run each month?

Roughly $20 to $150 a month, covering AI model usage plus the hosting and scheduler that refresh your recommendations. You pay that directly in your own accounts, not to us. Catalogs of a few hundred SKUs with a couple of read-only connections typically land toward the lower end.

How long until AI Ecommerce Pricing Assistant is live?

Delivery follows a fixed schedule shown before you buy, with faster options if you need recommendations ready for a busy season. The clock starts once your margin targets, data sources and report recipients are confirmed, usually within 72 hours of ordering. You review the first ranked recommendations against your own history before launch.

Does AI Ecommerce Pricing Assistant change my prices automatically?

No. It produces a ranked list of recommended price changes with the reasoning behind each one, for your team to review and apply. It never has write access to your catalog, so a live price can only change once a person on your side chooses to make it.

What data does AI Ecommerce Pricing Assistant need from my store?

Read-only access to catalog, margin and stock data, plus at least three months of order history, shared by adding our team as a user or creating a key you control, never by email. Competitor prices are optional but improve the recommendations, whether from a source such as Google Merchant Center or a list you maintain yourself.

Can I adjust the margin targets it uses later?

Yes. Updating margin targets, adding a competitor source or adjusting stock thresholds fits inside the monthly change hours included with maintenance. A new data source or an added delivery channel is handled as an add-on or a Change Quote. Maintenance also covers monitoring and fixes, starts after included support ends, and can be cancelled any month.

Who owns the pricing logic AI Ecommerce Pricing Assistant builds?

You do. The recommendation logic, the report and the underlying configuration live in your own accounts and store platform once the build is delivered. If you later move to a different agency or bring the work in-house, nothing about it is locked to us.

Stop guessing which prices need attention this week.

Order AI Ecommerce Pricing Assistant and get ranked, explained price recommendations from your own margin and stock data on a fixed delivery date.
