AI Call Summarization for Salesforce

Recorded calls logged in Salesforce activity history as clear summaries, linked to the right Lead, Contact or Opportunity.

Salesforce is only as good as the activity logged in it, and call notes are usually the weakest part. AI Call Summarization for Salesforce logs every recorded call as a completed activity on the right Lead, Contact, Account or Opportunity, and opens a Task when a next step was agreed. Stages, amounts and close dates stay with your reps.

  • Logs each call as an activity on the right Salesforce record
  • Opens Tasks only for next steps actually agreed on the call
  • Never changes Opportunity stage, amount or close date

What it is

AI Call Summarization for Salesforce turns each recorded call into a structured summary and logs it as a completed activity in Salesforce, related to the matching Lead or Contact and its Account or Opportunity. Agreed next steps become open Tasks for the owner.

Why businesses buy it

Forecasts built on thin activity history are guesses, and reps rarely have time to write proper call notes in Salesforce. Managers end up asking for updates the CRM should already hold. This edition logs every recorded call with a structured summary and call result, related to the right records by rules you approve, so pipeline reviews start from facts. It is tested in a sandbox before it touches production. The Scope Card fixes the object mapping, the phone platform connection and the checks against your past calls before you order.

Problems this solves

Salesforce activity history is thin because reps skip call logging

Each recorded call becomes a structured summary logged as a completed activity in Salesforce. It is related to the matching Lead or Contact, so history builds up without extra typing.

Opportunity owners cannot see what was said on recent calls

Summaries are linked to the Account or Opportunity as well as the person. Owners can read the latest conversation straight from the record they already use.

Next steps agreed on calls never become Salesforce Tasks

Agreed next steps become open Tasks assigned to the record owner. They appear in Salesforce task lists and reports alongside your other follow-ups. Nothing agreed on the phone is left unassigned.

Admins worry about outside tools writing into Salesforce

Field mapping is documented and agreed before go-live. Access is set up through user invites or keys you control, and testing runs on sandbox or test records first.

A good fit if

Salesforce is your system of record, and call activity history is thin because reps log calls with one word or not at all.
Calls relate to Opportunities, and managers want to see what was discussed without listening to recordings.
Your Salesforce admin wants call data written through a dedicated integration user that can be audited.
An admin can set up a connected app with an API-enabled user and take a 30-minute mapping call.

Not the right fit if

Your CRM is HubSpot. See AI Call Summarization for HubSpot.
Your CRM is Zoho CRM. See AI Call Summarization for Zoho CRM.
You want each call graded against a quality checklist. See AI Call QA.
You want Salesforce opportunities monitored for slippage. See AI Pipeline Intelligence for Salesforce.

How it works

  1. Your Salesforce admin creates a connected app with an API-enabled user; on a 30-minute call we map the activity fields, call result values and how calls relate to Opportunities.
  2. Recordings come from your phone system, connected as the one extra system in scope, after each call ends.
  3. Each call is transcribed and matched by phone number to a Salesforce Lead or Contact, then to its Account and the open Opportunity your rule selects.
  4. A summary is written in your approved structure and logged as a completed call activity, with the call result set from the conversation.
  5. When a next step was agreed, an open Task is created for the record owner with the due date discussed or your default.
  6. Calls touching topics you flag, such as pricing objections or cancellations, are included in a recurring report by email, Slack or a dashboard.

What you provide within 72 hours

Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.

  • A Salesforce connected app with an API-enabled user, shared securely in the way agreed, never by email.
  • Your Salesforce admin for 30 minutes on activity fields, call results and Opportunity matching.
  • Access to your telephony account or the number to forward, so recordings can be retrieved.
  • Call scripts, FAQs, business hours and escalation numbers.
  • Three months or more of recorded calls, and a sandbox or test records for trial logging.
  • Report recipients, the delivery channel and one decision-maker.
  • An API key for your own AI model account (for example OpenAI or Google Gemini), created for this build with a spending limit.
The 72-hour rule. Send everything on your checklist, including access, within 72 hours of ordering so your build starts on time.

What you receive at handover

  • AI Call Summarization for Salesforce, configured and deployed
  • A Salesforce connection with documented field mapping for completed activities and Tasks, plus up to one more system
  • Access through invites or keys held in your own accounts, never sent by email
  • A test report on sandbox or test records, checked against three months of historical calls

Expected benefits and how to measure them

  • Salesforce can hold a fuller record of customer conversations.
  • Opportunity reviews can draw on what was actually said.
  • Follow-up Tasks can be created consistently for every call.
Call activities per opportunity
Run a Salesforce report on completed call activities per open Opportunity, before and after launch.
Tasks created from calls
Count Tasks created through the connection each week and how many close on time.
Rep logging time
Ask reps to estimate weekly time spent logging calls, before go-live and after a month.

Before you start: Report on last month's logged calls per Opportunity in Salesforce. Note how reps log calls today and how long it takes.

These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.

Running costs

The build is $7,900, paid once. Running it costs roughly $20 to $150 a month for AI usage and hosting or scheduling, billed to your own accounts. Salesforce licenses and your phone plan are billed by those providers as today.

Usage while we test on past calls is billed to you as well, so the connected app and accounts stay in your organization.

Custom requirements

Writing to custom Salesforce objects, handling more than one phone system or summarizing in a second language needs a written Change Quote. Add a checkout note and it follows.

Request a custom version

Keep it running

Optional monthly maintenance follows the 30 days of support. It covers monitoring, fixes, model and Salesforce updates and a monthly health report. Change hours handle small changes like a new call result value or a revised Opportunity rule. Bigger requests get a Change Quote. Cancel any month.

$395/mo (5% of the build price a month, includes 3 change hours)

Optional. Starts after the post-launch support period. Cancel any month.

Questions about this product

How is a call related to the right Salesforce Opportunity?

Through a rule agreed at intake. The call is matched to a Lead or Contact by phone number, then to the Account's open Opportunity, for example the most recently updated one or the one owned by the person who took the call. Calls that match nothing go to the report for filing.

Why does the Salesforce edition cost more than the core build?

Because the Salesforce connection covers more objects: leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities, tasks and activity history, each with its own relationships and permissions. The mapping is also tested in a sandbox before production. The fixed price for each delivery speed is shown in the price and delivery panel on this page, and the core AI Call Summarization page shows its own.

Are Salesforce Tasks created for every call?

No. Every call gets a completed activity with the summary and call result. An open Task is created only when a next step was actually agreed, assigned to the record owner. That keeps Task lists meaningful instead of filling them with follow-ups nobody committed to.

Which phone platforms can feed the Salesforce edition?

The telephony account you already use, such as Twilio, Aircall or RingCentral, connected as the one extra system in scope. It must make recordings available after each call. A second phone platform needs an add-on or a Change Quote before any work starts.

Can we test Salesforce call logging without touching production?

Yes, and we prefer to. Logging is trialled in a Salesforce sandbox or on clearly marked test records, using three months of your past calls. Production logging only starts at go-live, after your review and the two rounds of changes.

Does it change Opportunity stages after a call?

No. It logs the summary, sets the call result and may create a Task, but it never changes Opportunity stage, amount, close date or owner. Those decisions stay with the rep, who now has an accurate record of the call to base them on.

Give Salesforce a real record of every call.

Order AI Call Summarization for Salesforce and on a fixed delivery date recorded calls land in activity history as structured summaries, related to the right Opportunity, with Tasks for agreed next steps.
