Maintenance keeps what we built working as your business, your tools and the AI models change. It is optional, it starts after the post-launch support period, and you can stop it any month. The fee is a fixed share of the build price, so a small build costs less to look after than a large one.
What maintenance costs
Two rates, one rule for change hours. The exact fee for any product is on its product page.
AI products
5% of the build price a month
Core products, editions, bundles and their add-ons. Minimum $249 a month.
Shopify stores and other builds
3.5% of the build price a month
Shopify stores and other non-WordPress builds. Minimum $199 a month.
Change hours included
1 hour per $100 of the fee
Never fewer than 2 hours a month. Unused hours do not roll over.
Built on WordPress or WooCommerce? Care after launch, including updates, backups, security, speed and fixes, is handled by webcare24, our WordPress care brand, so there is no Upmark Labs maintenance fee on those builds. Monthly marketing services need no maintenance either.
Monthly fee examples

What maintenance covers
Bigger changes, such as a new channel, a new integration or a new workflow, are not covered by change hours. They are quoted separately through a Change Quote.
- Monitoring We keep an eye on the system so problems are spotted early.
- Fixes Anything that stops working as the Scope Card describes is put right.
- Updates When AI models, platforms or connected tools change, we update the system to keep it working.
- Monthly health report A short report each month on how the system is running and what we did.
- Change hours Time for small improvements, such as new questions, wording, rules or a new field.
How to start
Maintenance begins once post-launch support on your Scope Card ends, typically 30 days after you accept the delivery. Ask for it in the message thread of your order in the client panel and we send you a payment link. It is billed monthly.
How to stop
Cancel at any time with a message in your client panel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid month, and partial months are not refunded. Your system stays in your own accounts.
Questions about maintenance
When does maintenance start?
Maintenance starts after the post-launch support period on your Scope Card ends, typically 30 days after you accept the delivery. To start it, ask in the message thread of your order in the client panel and we send you a payment link. The monthly fee is the one shown on your product page before you bought.
Can I cancel maintenance?
Yes, at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid month, and partial months are not refunded. Your system stays in your own accounts after you stop. You simply no longer get monitoring, fixes, updates or change hours from us, and any later work is quoted through a Change Quote.
What counts as a small change?
Change hours cover small improvements such as new questions for an assistant, updated wording, an adjusted rule or a new field. Larger changes, such as a new channel, a new integration or a new workflow, are quoted separately through a Change Quote. Unused change hours do not roll over to the next month.
How is the fee worked out for bundles and add-ons?
The fee is a share of the build price, which includes add-ons and any bundle discount but leaves out Express or Rush premiums. Add-ons have no separate maintenance; their share is added to the main product's fee. Fees are rounded to the nearest $5, and each product page shows the exact monthly fee before you buy.
Do WordPress sites or monthly services need maintenance?
Not from Upmark. WordPress and WooCommerce websites and stores are looked after by webcare24, our WordPress care brand, under the terms on its own website. Monthly services, such as SEO or social media management, are ongoing work already, so they carry no separate maintenance fee.
What if my AI provider or a connected tool changes?
That is one of the main reasons to keep maintenance. When an AI model, platform or connected tool changes in a way that affects your system, the updates needed to keep it working as the Scope Card describes are covered. Without maintenance, that work is quoted through a Change Quote once post-launch support has ended.
